One of the best ways to get re-inspired is to get reconnected to your body!

 

Yoga practice is not gymnastics. The postures or Asanas are meant to replenish our energy and sustain our structures for the duration of our lives. The stillness that yoga brings to our minds starts with the stillness we create in our bodies.

 

My classes are functionally integrated to benefit ALL bodies, and structured to liberate the mind, help to uncover and unlock patterns of restriction that contributes to limited mobility, excess physical and emotional stress and tension, faulty movement patterns, and pain. Physically functional yoga postures are integrated with fluid breath patterns that feel good to the body, to create more space, freedom of movement, and a deeper connection to body, mind and spirit.

 

Practicing Yoga is an intelligent and inspiring way to keep your body and mind balanced and happy, no matter who you are or how flexible you are. Movement is medicine, and there is no judgment to be found here.

TEACHING SCHEDULE:

TUESDAY

10:00am / Mindful Yoga and Drum Healing / Open Door, 163 W. 2nd Street, Pomona, CA 91766

Mindful Yoga & Drum Healing is about moving the body, freeing the mind, and creating life flow! Classes integrate fluid and restorative yoga postures, subtle and dynamic movement sequences with a focus on incorporation of the breath, grounding and centering mechanisms, and functional movement. Class closes with an empowered meditation of drumming and vocals.

Bring your own yoga mat if you have one. Blocks, bolsters, straps and blankets provided, as well as yoga mats.

 

WEDNESDAY

7:00pm / Meditative Yoga Flow / Feeling Groovy Wellness / 863 W. Foothill Blvd., Claremont, CA 91711

Meditative Yoga Flow is a great way to unwind, stretch and rejuvenate the body and mind. Phyllis will guide you through a sequence of deep stretches, free-flowing poses and breath work aimed at enhancing flexibility, relieving any tension or stress and relaxing the mind. Class ends with a Sound Meditation in a rest position. Come connect with yourself and restore your body, mind and soul!
